Zimmerman Wins Apprenticeship Instructor Award

The Manufacturers' Association recently announced that Christian Zimmerman, apprenticeship coordinator, has been named Outstanding Advocate for Building a Thriving Registered Apprenticeship Ecosystem as part of the 2024 to 2025 Pennsylvania Apprenticeship Awards.

Presented by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry and the Apprenticeship and Training Office, the recognition celebrates Zimmerman's leadership in expanding registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs, opening doors to more Pennsylvanians, and helping strengthen the commonwealth's apprenticeship ecosystem.

Zimmerman's work supports more than 60 manufacturing employers as they grow their talent pipelines, and he helps apprentices and future apprentices find clear, career-building pathways. This past year, the association had an enrollment of 200 active registered apprenticeships across eight different manufacturing trades.
