The Millersville Lions Club will hold a bingo event on Sunday, May 3, in the gymnasium at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster.

Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. along with a snack bar. An early bird game will be held at 1:45 p.m., with a chance to win a pool pass to the Millersville Lions Club pool for a family of four. Regular bingo games will begin at 2 p.m.

A variety of items will be available to purchase at the snack bar, including hot dogs, barbecue sandwiches, rice and beans, pretzels, bologna and cheese, carrots or celery with dip, salty snacks, snack trail mix, baked goods, homemade Easter eggs, and drinks.

A 50/50 drawing and giveaway drawing will be held, and attendees may purchase tickets for each drawing, with set fees per one ticket, six tickets, or 15 tickets. The winner of the 50/50 will be announced at the end of bingo and must be present to win. Winners for the giveaway drawing will be announced following the 50/50 and must be present to win.

This year, 50 giveaway drawing items and experiences will be available to win, including a Nissley Vineyards wine tasting; a Historic Rock Ford family membership; tickets to places such as Hershey's Children's Museum, the Fulton Theatre, Urban Air, and Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre; a variety of gift cards; designer purses; a Crossgates Golf Club game for four with a cart rental; and a cruise on the Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat.

The ticket price includes 20 rounds of bingo with three strips each round. Attendees may purchase additional strips, and specials will be available for an extra fee.

The bingo is the club's largest fundraiser. It started in 2017 as a designer purse bingo and then changed to a cash bingo with a large selection of giveaway drawing prizes, including designer purses along with a wide variety of items and experiences. All proceeds will go back into the community in support of organizations and local entities like Loft Community Partnership, Blue Rock Fire Rescue, Penn Manor School District, Make-A-Wish, Lions Club International, and Blessings of Hope.
