Grace’s New Friend

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Grace. Grace was a very selfish girl.

She only cared about new toys and dolls for herself to play with. Her parents knew that was a problem and did everything they could to help her understand that everything was not about her. But she did not care about anything but herself. Then one night her parents announced that they would spend the whole month of November at a homeless shelter that was two hours away. They all packed their suitcases and loaded them into the car the next day. Then they all hopped into the car and drove away. When they arrived Grace’s father unpacked the bags and they walked into the homeless shelter. Grace shockingly looked around there were a bunch of poor people. Then she looked at their clothes they were very torn and ragged. But there was one thing in particular she noticed they were all so happy she did not know why they were happy but wanted to know why.

“Why are you so happy?” she asked a girl.

“Because I know that god loves me. So even though I am poor I always remind myself that he loves me.”

“But how do you know he loves you?’’

“Because he died on the cross for my sins so that I could go to heaven.’’

“Can I go to heaven too?”

“Yes if you pray and ask Jesus into your heart then you can go to heaven too!’’

So Grace asked Jesus into her heart. Now you are probably wondering who her new friend was, it was Jesus. If you ask Jesus into your heart he can be your friend too!
