Krista was born and raised in Lancaster County, taking only a brief hiatus from her residence in the county to attend Houghton College in New York state. She joined EPC shortly after graduating from Houghton with a Bachelor of Arts in writing in 2009. Since then, she has filled a variety of roles in the Editorial Department, from feature writer to copy editor/proofreader to her current role, assistant editor of the community papers. In addition to fixing grammatical errors, Krista’s interests revolve mostly around sports and the outdoors. She has completed numerous running and obstacle races and enjoys backpacking and winter mountaineering. She is also a basketball coach and a church youth leader, and she loves being a cat mom.
