Designed for ages 5-12.

First Impressions - Insects and Animals
June 12, 2022 - 2-4pm
Tickets available: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/343788409387
Camp Description -
People have feelings about a lot of things. When we learn new things about an animal, we usually feel better about it. This activity is designed for children to notice their first reactions to different animals and then to see whether their reaction changes when they learn more about the animal. Children combine movement and math to show how they think and feel about animals.

Ants on Parade
July 10, 2022 - 2-4pm
Tickets available: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/344368364047
Camp Description -
There are thousands of insect species in North America. Though some of the species are considered pests, ants play an important role in many ecosystems. In this program children go outside to observe the insect behavior and learn insect characteristics.

Looking at Leaves
July 31, 2022 - 2-4pm
Tickets available: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/344389166267
Camp Description -
There are nearly 1,000 tree species in North America and many thousand more types of shrubs and plants. One way to tell different species apart is by looking at their leaves. Careful observation of plant parts other than the leaves is often necessary to determine species.

Grow As We Go
August 21, 2022 - 2-4pm
Tickets available: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/344394261507
Camp Description -
All living things grow and change during their lifetimes. Every plant and animal begins life, matures, and dies in a series of stages called a life cycle. Children explore the life cycles of familiar wildlife and understand that living things grow and change.

We encourage each attending child to have appropriate applications of sunscreen and bug repellent applied before arriving. Closed toe shoes are encouraged.
