Heritage House Day & Quilt Show

The Annual Quilt Show and Heritage House Day returns to Winters Heritage House. Starting May 15, two of our historic log homes will be adorned with colorful quilts, both modern and historical, including two quilts on loan from The Daniel Boone Homestead.
Bring your children to experience a hands-on glimpse into history through activities including quill writing, embroidery, quilting, dress up, and making a paper model Conestoga wagon. They can also compete in a Lincoln Log building contest!
Experience a guided tour from charismatic Docent Mary Conrad. Tours are scheduled at the following times:
Thursday, May 16 at 10:30 a.m.;
Saturday, May 18 at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.;
Thursday, May 23 at 11:30 a.m.
Admission is free for members and children ages 13 and under. Public admission is $3 for 14 and over.
The Heritage House Day celebration will take place on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. In addition to quilts and hands-on activities, attendees can enjoy music from local folk trio Abigail’s Garden between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., demonstrations of various crafts, and shop from several local vendors. Hot dogs, drinks, and snacks will also be available for purchase.
The week-long event will wrap up on Thursday, May 23 with a quilt history presentation by Becky Hughes from The Daniel Boone Homestead. The presentation begins at 1 p.m. and will take place at the H.U. Coble House, located at 33 E. High St., adjacent to the Winters Heritage House Museum. Both free and metered parking is located behind the building. This presentation is free of charge to both members and the public.
