Roots & Drupes: Mid-Fall Foraging Walk

Nov 3

Transitional seasons beckon with variety. In the forager's basket, fading late-season flowers and fruits share space with roots and twigs, all offering sustenance and medicine for the impending winter. Foraging in the mid-fall is an interplay: enduring abundance meets a quieting landscape. It's truly a time to give thanks, gather with gratitude, and savor nature's bounty.

Whether you are interested in wild foods, local plants and ecology, or alternative uses for plants through wildcrafting and medicine, you're invited to join our Mid-Fall Forging Walk, taking place Sunday, November 3rd from 10am to 12pm.

Along the way, we will spend time paying tribute to our long shared history with plants, looking beyond the question of "what can I eat?" on the landscape. We will also emphasize ethical foraging and ways of giving back to the land from which we’re taking–reinforcing how thinking like an ecosystem should guide the practice of gathering wild foods.

This class will be held on November 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Beginners and experienced foragers are welcome.
