1719 Museum posts longhouse tours

The 1719 Museum, 1849 Hans Herr Drive, Willow Street, will host tours of the Lancaster Longhouse in honor of Indigenous Peoples' Heritage Month. The tours will be available on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15 and 16, at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.

These special tours will focus on local 17th- and 18th-century indigenous history, agriculture, foodways, and cultures, as well as how interactions between indigenous people and European immigrants shaped Lancaster County's early history.

The museum store will offer books and crafts highlighting indigenous life, history, and culture.
