4-H benefit auction slated

The Lancaster County 4-H program will host its annual benefit auction on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 9 a.m. at the Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster.

Specialty items to be sold include a Lifetime Spitfire 10 sit-on-top kayak, a meat bundle from Galvinell Meat Company, a tri-axle load of stone from Shoemaker Trucking, certificates to Sight & Sound Theatres and passes to Longwood Gardens.

This year, the organization will again offer a silent auction during the live auction. Silent auction items will include pizza gift certificates, car wash gift certificates and grocery store gift cards.

Additional items to be sold include animal feed and supplies, household items, crafts, baked goods, tools, produce and cookbooks. Local 4-H clubs have donated theme baskets for sale, with the themes including baking, horse health care, pampered pooch and family fun night. Numerous other items and gift certificates for local services and merchandise will be sold throughout the day.

Food items will be sold throughout the day by Ephrata Cocalico 4-H Community Club members.

Auctioneers from All American Auction Company will volunteer their time for the event.
