4-H slates benefit auction

The Chester County 4-H Center will hold its annual auction on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Romano 4-H Center, 1841 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook. The silent auction will kick off at 4 p.m., followed by the live auction at 6 p.m.

The 4-H Center is a hub for Chester County 4-H members, hosting club meetings, the annual 4-H fair, summer show specials, showmanship and judging clinics, and a variety of project workshops, including shooting sports, sewing, cooking, woodworking, robotics, and specialty programming for the 4-H Cloverbud program. Additionally, the Chester County 4-H Center provides facilities for beef, sheep, swine, dairy, goat, and horse shows. It aims to offer a space where young people can learn and grow, becoming future leaders and responsible citizens.

Donations are sought for the auction. Contributions may include professional services and products, handmade items, antiques, gift certificates, farm products, collectibles, artwork, and used and new equipment and tools. Donations may be dropped off at the Chester County 4-H Center on Wednesday, Sept. 18, to Friday, Sept. 20, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and on Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Donations help to cover the costs associated with the upkeep and improvements of the Chester County 4-H Center.
