Herb Guild Plans Meeting

The Conestoga Herb Guild will host Penn State Extension Master Gardener Colleen Emmerling on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Millersville VFW, 219 Walnut Hill Road, Millersville.

Emmerling will demonstrate how to make a pond garden in a pot. She will discuss the various plants that can be grown successfully in a water-filled pot to create a water feature on a deck, porch, or patio.

Emmerling's interest in gardening began with a part-time job in the perennials section of the former Funks Farm Market in Millersville.

Guild member Brenda Walker will present a talk on the Herb of the Month: stinging nettle.

Refreshments will be served after a brief business meeting.

Guests may attend with advance reservation and a fee, payable at the door. For more information, contact Susan Atkins at 717-725-7451 or atkinsateb@aol.com.
