Museum Posts Model Railroading Days

The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, 300 Gap Road, Strasburg, will offer its Model Railroading Days event on Saturdays, Aug. 1, 8, 15, and 22. Visitors of all ages may watch model trains in action and see static displays from a variety of groups and clubs.

The Aug. 1 event will feature the DC Area Independent Hi-Railers, the Standard Gauge Module Association, and the Strasburg Model Railroad Club. The James R. Rose Scale & Gauge exhibit will be on display.

Aug. 8 will feature the Baltimore Area American Flyer Club and the Capital PenNScalers. A tree-making presentation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The groups to be featured on Aug. 15 are the Keystone NTrack, Lebanon Valley Rail, the Lower Susquehanna Valley Modular Railroaders, the Northeast Corridor Historical Society, and the Strasburg Model Railroad Club.

On Aug. 22, Capitol Free-Mo and the Stillmeadow Crossing Modular Train Group will be featured. A large Lionel 0-72 layout will be displayed.

Model Railroading Days is included in the regular museum admission.
