Community United Methodist Church, 130 Tennyson Drive, Lancaster, will present a country gospel music and worship event in its sanctuary on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 6:30 p.m. This gathering will be part of the church's series of worship services that feature a relaxed atmosphere, music, and singing, all done country style.

The upcoming event will be led by the group 3:16, an acoustic Christian band that features both modern and traditional songs. The name 3:16 was chosen for the band members' love of John 3:16. The band members are Jim Conners, guitar and vocals; Laquell Cooper, percussion; Travis Messner, vocals; and Joseph Liptock, keyboard and vocals, plus several guest musicians and vocalists.

There is no admission charge. Donations will be accepted.
