Library plans Makers Market

Strasburg-Heisler Library, 143 Precision Ave., Strasburg, will hold its third annual Makers Market on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Thirty-two vendors will display their handmade wares, all of which will be for sale. The market will offer items made from a wide variety of materials, such as wood, glass, metals, paper, paint on canvas, fabrics and fibers. Joe on the Go will be on-site in the morning with coffee and bakery treats, and the library's board members will have lunch ready for shoppers. New this year, by request, will be live music by guitarist and vocalist Doug Hostetler.

The Makers Market was conceived as a way to show community members that the library is a place for them to connect with others and share ideas. The event will offer people an opportunity to talk about their passion, display it for others to appreciate and sell their work.

Library services will not be available at the Strasburg-Heisler Library on the day of the Makers Market.
