Orchestra to offer trip to Cuba

Lancaster Symphony Orchestra (LSO) will offer a trip to Havana from Wednesday to Monday, Feb. 12 to 17, 2025, through the Cuba Rhythm and Views (CR&V) exchange program.

Trip goers will have opportunities to experience Havanas arts, culture, people and nightlife with LSO music director Michael Butterman and pianist and composer Aldo Lopez-Gavilan. Participants will dine in Havanas world-renowned, privately owned paladares; stay at the Grand Aston La Habana; and attend private performances by Cuban musicians, dancers and artists.

Attendees will need to travel to Miami on their own on Feb. 11. The fee includes one night at Miami International Airport Hotel; five nights lodging in Havana; five breakfasts, three lunches, and two dinners; round-trip airfare between Miami and Havana; all land transportation via luxury coach; arts performances; all activities and events, including admissions and ground transportation; baggage transfers and handling at airport and hotel arrival and departure; and Cuban visa fees, departure tax, and medical insurance while in Cuba.

Priority will be based on the order in which deposits are received. When a deposit is received, the application will be sent.
