The Lancaster County Art Association (LCAA), 149 Precision Ave., Strasburg, will open its "Garden Colors" show on Sunday, April 6, with a reception at 2 p.m. The show will feature artworks by LCAA members with a nature or garden theme in a variety of mediums. Sponsored by Ken's Gardens, a giveaway will offer a basket of garden goodies.

In the Steinmetz Gallery, artworks by Jeffrey McCredie will be featured. McCredie is an award-winning artist and a member of LCAA, the Chester County Art Association, and the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society. He creates colorful artworks that aim to reflect warmth, hope, and the beauty of the world.

"Garden Colors" and the exhibit by McCredie will run through Friday, May 9. The galleries are open on Thursdays to Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

In addition, the LCAA will offer a variety of art classes this spring.

Carol Herr will offer Landscape Painting from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays, May 8 to June 12. Both oil and acrylic mediums will be discussed.

Intermediate Pencil Drawing will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. on Mondays, May 5 to June 16, with no class on May 26. Tony Bonazzi will lead.

Dot Stepenaski will teach Passion for Pastels from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursdays, April 24 to May 29.

The workshops will be a Color Workshop from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursdays, April 10, 17, and 24, taught by Herr; The Art of the Flower from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 4 and 5, taught by Karen Frattali; Perspective Workshop 1 and 2 Point from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, with Tony Bonazzi; Jewelry Making Workshop: Let's Make Earrings from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, April 12 and 13, with Aura Rose LaSorda; and Art From Nature Art Camp from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday to Thursday, June 23 to 26, taught by Carol Dale.
