L-S Harrier Teams Make School History

- The L-S girls’ cross country team opened tri-meet action Tuesday, September 30 with team wins over visiting Manheim Central and Cocalico, wrapping up a 7-0 season that clinched their first section title since 2017. The boys followed with similar results and also claimed the Section Two crown. It’s the first time in school history that the teams are co-section champs. Members of the team include: front row (left to right): Maria Glick, Elizabeth Shiffer, Bethany Devine, Maddy Albright and Rylee Diller. - (front to back): Evelyn Kennel, Lilah Schwartz and Maddy Albright work their way through the final third of Lampeter-Strasburg’s home course Tuesday, September 30. The Pioneers defeated Cocalico and Manheim Central to cap a Section Two leading undefeated season and the section crown.
- On Thursday, September 25, Pioneers’ keeper Georgia Spahn makes one of three saves against the Braves during a 4-2 victory on the road.
- Tuesday, September 30, the L-S boys’ team followed the girls’ team and swept the visiting Barons and Eagles to claim the Section Two crown with a 7-0 record. It is the first time in school history that both squads earned section titles in the same season. Members of the team include: kneeling (left to right): Alex Sutherland, Jackson Lukacs, Canaan Roheer, MIchael Colosi, Aiden Yoder and William Magagna. - The Pioneers’ Elizabeth Shiffer clocked a 22:24 and finished as Lampeter’s fifth runner. She was sixth overall and sparked home team victories over Manheim Central and Cocalico Tuesday, September 30.
