Luther Acres Posts Attic Treasures Sale, Book Fest
Luther Acres residents will host an Attic Treasures Sale on Saturday, March 21, from 8 a.m. to noon at 515 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz, at the St. Matthew Road entrance to Luther Acres, a Luthercare senior living community. The indoor and outdoor sale, sponsored by the Luther Acres Residents' Council, will be held rain or shine. Parking will be available on Kissel Hill Road.
Items for sale will include glassware and dishes; kitchen tools, gadgets, and essentials; seasonal decorations; lamps and furniture; linens and soft goods; puzzles, games, and toys; gifts and collectibles; artwork and floral decorations; household tools; small electronics; and CDs and DVDs. Cash and checks will be accepted. All proceeds will benefit the charitable activities of the Luther Acres Residents' Council.

Luther Acres will also hold a Book Fest, a celebration of literature, creativity, and lifelong learning. The festival will take place on Saturday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Luther Acres Towne Center, 250 St. Luke Drive, Lititz. It will be open to residents of the retirement community and the general public, and it is designed for people of all ages.
The Luther Acres Book Fest will feature more than 30 authors of both fiction and nonfiction, representing a wide variety of genres. The authors will present book talks on their published works as well as on topics such as writing realistic fiction, creating compelling story settings, and navigating the risks and rewards of a writer's life. The event will also feature book sales and signings with the authors, many of whom are local to Lancaster County.
The authors who are scheduled to participate include Kelly Barr, Marilyn Blair, Karen Bradley, Vicky Burkholder, Holly Rutter Bush, Jane Clark, Natalie Damschroder, Michael Dobson, Megan Ellenberger, Mike Gerhard, Daniel Glick, Susan Gourley, CJ Grant, Allison B. Hanson, Don Helin, Eleanor Isaacson, Andrew Kibe, Joyce Kieffer, Kathleen King, Carolyn Kleinman, Sheila Miller, Jeanne Moran, Melissa Nordhoff, Lizzie Qnert, Sandra Nork, Helen Ober, Beth Oberholtzer, Sherry Ostroff, James Rada Jr., Connie Rife, Melissa Roos, Sara Roth, Stephanie Speeney, Ann Stolinsky, Cory Van Brookhoven, Ann Van Hine, and Lois Zigrang.
Giveaway baskets will be distributed, and Spud Muffin, a Lancaster County-based food truck featuring fresh-cut fries, smash burgers, and more, will be on-site throughout the event.
