AACA Museum plans events

The AACA Museum Inc. will host a webcast, "Fred Duesenberg's Final Journey," presented by Ray Wotkowski, on Saturday, March 30, at 11 a.m. via Zoom. A historical marker along U.S. Route 30 in the Laurel Mountains of Pennsylvania reads, "Frederick S. Duesenberg 1876-1932: Near this site on July 2, 1932, the builder of Duesenberg luxury automobiles was seriously injured when his supercharged Model J crashed into the mountainside. He died on July 26 at Memorial Hospital in Johnstown (PA)." Wotkowski - an area resident, a lifelong antique car enthusiast, and the editor of the Keystone Packards' "Panorama" newsletter - suspected the message was misleading, so he researched Duesenberg's death. He shared his findings in his book, "Fred Duesenberg's Final Journey." To make reservations, visit http://www.aacamuseum.org.

The museum will celebrate National Mustang Day on Wednesday, April 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 161 Museum Drive, Hershey. Mustang Day commemorates the car's introduction on April 17, 1964. This year, Mustang drivers and passengers will receive free museum admission, special parking, and an event decal courtesy of CJ Pony Parts. For more information, visit the aforementioned website.
