Aaron's Acres Sets School Year Programs

Aaron's Acres is now accepting applications for the 2022-23 school year program. Programs run from October through May, excluding January.

Aaron's Acres offers a Younger Children Program in Lancaster County for children and their siblings ages 5 to 12. The younger group meets at Millersville University on the first Saturday evening of each month.

Aaron's Acres also offers an Older Adolescents Program and A-Team for participants ages 13 to 21 that meet one Friday evening each month. The Older Adolescents Program allows adolescents the opportunity to engage in age-appropriate community activities with their peers such as bowling, sporting events, and visiting Hersheypark. The A-Team program offers adolescents with high-functioning autism the opportunity to participate in age-appropriate activities and trips designed to develop socialization and communication skills, such as bowling, escape rooms, and Hersheypark.

The program director will schedule face-to-face meetings with new families to become more familiar with participants' needs and disabilities. Participant applications are available at https://aaronsacres.org/programs/registration/.

Volunteer opportunities are also available for teens ages 14 to 17. For more information about the programs or volunteering, contact Elaine Burnett at 717-917-6101, ext. 103, or elaineburnett@aaronsacres.org.
