All-Bach Organ And Trumpet Concert Posted

Celebrating the birthday of composer and organist Johann Sebastian Bach, the historic 1854 First Reformed Church, 40 E. Orange St., Lancaster, will present a First Friday concert, "Bach's Birthday Bash," on Friday, March 4. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and the 30-minute concert will begin at 8 p.m.

Organist Larry Hershey will play the 1958 analog Allen organ and will be joined by trumpeter Doug Albert. The all-Bach program will include "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" from Cantata 147 and "Air" from Orchestral Suite No. 3. Major works performed will be Concerto in C Minor and Prelude and Fugue in G Major.
