Angel Tree Program Benefits The Salvation Army

Faulkner Chevrolet completed its Angel Tree Program for the Salvation Army again this holiday season. The employees and their families donated new and unwrapped jackets, mittens, scarves, toys and other necessities requested from children in and around Lancaster County.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program provides food for the holidays and requested toys. Each child chosen must register and be accepted, and his or her wish list is shared with a randomly chosen donor. The Salvation Army is committed to serving the whole person - mind, body and spirit - with integrity and respect. The agency strives to empower people to change their circumstances and overcome the challenges that stand in their way. Services offered may include emergency assistance, crisis intervention, self-sufficiency programs, counseling, budgeting and referral services.

Faulkner Chevrolet's president and general manager, Chad Berger, delivered the donated items to the Salvation Army's location at 131 S. Queen St., Lancaster.

The public is invited to donate to the Salvation Army through its Red Kettle Campaign, which will run through the holiday season at many locations.
