Three auctions will be held at the 49th annual Elizabethtown Fair. The fair will run from Monday, Aug. 22, to Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Elizabethtown Fairgrounds, High Street, Elizabethtown. To learn more about the fair, visit http://www.etownfair.com.

A baked goods auction featuring all the baked goods entered in the competitive exhibits will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, on Stage 2. These items will include the best of show decorated cake; blue ribbon apple pie; angel food cake; chocolate cake; PA Preferred Junior Brownie, Cookie, or Bar; and Mars Wrigley confectionery entries.

On Wednesday, Aug. 24, the sale of champions will take place following the supreme champion events in the show ring. Rabbit meat pen, dairy feeder calves, beef, goats, market lambs, and swine will be auctioned.

The annual Elizabethtown Fair auction will offer items donated by local artists, craft persons, merchants, and fair vendors. The auction will begin on Stage 2 at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26. The auction will feature the premium book cover painting by local artist Nancy Landis at 9 p.m.
