The Lower Swatara Township Historic Preservation Society will host a presentation on Camp Meade on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 6 p.m. in the community hall at the Lower Swatara Township Firehouse, 1350 Fulling Mill Road, Middletown.

Penn State archivist-librarian Heidi Abbey Moyer will present "Honoring Camp Meade: The Fred M. Greguras Collection and the Spanish-American War of 1898 at Penn State Harrisburg." Moyer will share about the photographs, documents, and ephemera in the Fred M. Greguras Collection, which preserves the history of the military camp on the site of present-day Penn State Harrisburg in Middletown. Camp Meade was in operation during the Spanish-American War.
