Renowned artist Susan Darwin is displaying her Lancaster County exhibit, featuring a collection of 20 original oil paintings capturing the essence and beauty of Lancaster County, at the Lancaster City Welcome Center, 38 Penn Square.

The exhibition, which opened on June 2 and will run through Saturday, Aug. 26, offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the artwork inspired by the diverse landscapes and rich heritage of Lancaster County. The artist reception took place during First Friday on June 2, providing art enthusiasts with a chance to meet the artist and engage in insightful conversations.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the vibrant culture and history of Lancaster County through Darwin's artistic interpretations. From picturesque farmland to famous residents, folk art and even the Amish community, the artist's body of work encompasses a wide range of subjects. A comprehensive informational catalog accompanies the exhibit, featuring laminated pages that provide in-depth insights into the paintings. Each artwork's historical significance, the artist's inspiration and personal reflections are shared, fostering a deeper connection between the viewer and the artwork.

In addition to the original oil paintings, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase signed limited-edition giclee prints, art cards and the exhibit catalog. The closing reception will be held on Aug. 26 from 1 to 3 p.m.

The Lancaster County Exhibit is open to the public, and admission is free. Operating hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with extended hours until 8 p.m. on First Fridays.
