Art exhibit to open at Columbia Crossing

The Baltimore Sculptors, a group of artists from Maryland and Pennsylvania, are showcasing their work at Columbia Crossing River Trails Center, 41 Walnut St., Columbia. The public is invited to experience 24 original wood, metal, stone, and multimedia pieces. People of all ages will also be able to enjoy a free scavenger hunt in the exhibit and earn a prize. On select weekends through the exhibit's run, members of the public may make their own sculpture at the touch table.

The exhibit will officially open with an evening of artist talks on Friday, Sept. 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. Attendees may explore the sculpture exhibit and talk with the artists during an evening celebrating art along the Susquehanna River. The suggested donation amount will support Susquehanna National Heritage Area and its focus on providing cultural programs for the public. Light refreshments will be served.

During the opening, attendees may stop by Fire Pit Friday, which will be taking place in nearby Columbia River Park. People may enjoy a fire along the Susquehanna and make s'mores.

The exhibit will be on display at Columbia Crossing River Trails Center from September 2024 to March 2025 and is free to the public. Columbia Crossing is open on Tuesdays through Sundays, with seasonal hours listed at http://www.SusqNHA.org.
