Arthur Funk & Sons Names New President

Arthur Funk & Sons Inc. Construction Services has announced that Ken Funk, PE has been appointed president of the company. Ken will succeed outgoing president Bob Funk, PE, LEED AP, who was named chairman of the board. David Funk, PE, has been named vice president.

As he enters his new role, Ken credits Bob for his model of leadership, decision-making and client focus that prepared the company for the transition. The new leadership team is now composed of Jessica Kosoff, EIT; Nathan Fry; Steve Reed; and Greg Bishop.

For Ken, stewardship was taught through the actions of his father, Henry Funk. He noted that his dad always gave back to the communities where the company had projects or where its associates and subcontractors lived and raised families. This included time, materials, sweat equity and financial assistance. Henry's philanthropy extended to projects like camps for children and mission trips to build a hospital.

Ken is also active in his community and has volunteered with many organizations. He recently joined the board of the Association of Builders and Contractors Keystone Chapter. He and his wife, Julie, have three adult children. He is eager to continue the family business alongside his brother, Dave.

Arthur Funk & Sons, headquartered in Lebanon, builds a variety of structures in the Susquehanna Valley ranging in size from 1,000 square feet to more than 150,000 square feet.
