Lititz artist Frederick D. Swarr will exhibit his latest series of paintings at Moravian Manor, 300 W. Lemon St., Lititz, throughout October. Swarr's "Musical Celebrities" paintings will hang in Steinman Hall, with his "Famous Visionary Artists" paintings in the hallway outside Steinman Hall. The artist's reception will be Friday, Sept. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Swarr, a resident of the Warwick Woodlands in Moravian Manor, has been an active painter since 1969. He has a master's degree in art education and over the years has produced artwork in many different styles. Swarr has exhibited his paintings at various art galleries, art associations, outdoor art shows, theaters, restaurants, churches and businesses as well as in the permanent collections of universities and in the collections of private individuals.
