Artists creates figurine for collection

The Trail of Painted Ponies, a horse collectible and giftware company, announced that artist Aimee Skee won second place in its 20th Anniversary Art Competition in 2021.

Skee's winning design, "Voices of the Wilds," was chosen to be crafted into a figurine for The Trail of Painted Ponies' winter 2023 release, which marks 20 years since the release of the first Trail of Painted Ponies figurines in the winter of 2003. Skee noted that the wolf and mustang in her design represent all the wild species that are endangered or nearly extinct.

The Trail of Painted Ponies received hundreds of design submissions from artists in the United States and around the world to celebrate its 20 years of collectible Painted Ponies figurines. The "Voices of the Wilds" figurine is now in stock at retailers across the United States, Canada and Australia, as well as at http://www.paintedponies.com.

The Trail of Painted Ponies chooses to craft select designs submitted by artists and releases the designs at least twice per year as figurines and ornaments.

Skee is a wildlife and fantasy artist who enjoys working in different sculpture materials such as clays and resins. She loves working in mixed media and discovering new mediums and techniques. She is perhaps best known for her Breyer horse model customs, and her work has been featured in the Breyerfest Best Customs contest.
