The Reading Musical Foundation has awarded a grant in the amount of $8,100 to the WCR Center for the Arts for its 2025-26 Musical Performance Program.

The grant will assist four future programs. Teacher Recitals will allow private music instructors in the Reading area to host student recitals. Guitar-A-Rama on Thursday, Nov. 20, will feature performances by Busker Incognito and Travellin' Brothers as well as a workshop for all instruments and a jam session. A performance for Boscov's Berks Jazz Fest 2026 will take place in April 2026, featuring Hot Club. Finally, WCR will partner with Berks Youth Chorus and Albright College to hold workshops and an evening concert of solo opera performances by local singers.

WCR Center for the Arts, located at 140 N. Fifth St., Reading, offers arts education for low- to moderate-income families and partners with local nonprofits.

The Reading Musical Foundation has been supporting music education, preservation, and local music presenters for nearly 100 years.
