Audubon Society sets field trips

The Quittapahilla Audubon Society has planned two field trips.

The first outing will take place on Sunday, Feb. 18, at the Union Canal Tunnel Park. Attendees should meet at 2 p.m. at the park's 25th Street parking lot. The purpose of the trip will be the observation of flora and fauna, including data collection for the 27th annual Great Backyard Bird Count. An excursion to the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area will be offered on Monday, Feb. 26, with participants meeting at 10 a.m. at the visitor center parking lot. They will seek to observe snow geese and other migrating birds from Willow Point. For more details, contact leader Jim Fiorentino at 717-269-0675.
