Members of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 809 in Maytown presented veterans at two retirement communities with Christmas bags on Dec. 10, 2021. Sara Gutshall and Connie Longenecker greeted veterans Harrison Perry and Catherine Tucker at Paramount Senior Living and Fred Smith, Leo Policino and Harry Dyer at Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab Center. They thanked the veterans for their service and gave them bags containing hand-crocheted scarves, snacks, toiletries and more.

The Auxiliary also sent two Christmas boxes to service members stationed in Guam and Kuwait, as well as 30 Christmas cards to local people serving in the military.
