The 14th annual Nikki Rivera Back-to-School Event, presented by state Rep. Nikki Rivera and state Rep. Ismail Smith-Wade-El, will take place on Sunday, Aug. 10, from noon to 4 p.m. at Penn Medicine Park, 650 N. Prince St., Lancaster.

The event will feature free backpacks, clothing, shoes and school supplies, as well as free haircuts for youths in kindergarten through grade eight. The aim of the giveaway is to prepare students for the school year.

This year, the event has expanded to include the Penn Manor School District, joining the School District of Lancaster, Manheim Township and Hempfield.

In 2024 alone, the event served more than 2,400 students through the generosity of more than 80 partners and more than 360 volunteers.

Parents and guardians must register their children by Monday, Aug. 4, at http://www.reprivera.com or http://www.repizzy.com.
