Band Boosters To Host Book Sale

The Penn Manor Band Boosters will host their annual book sale to benefit the Penn Manor marching unit and indoor drumline from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 6, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 7. It will take place in the cafeteria at Penn Manor High School, 100 E. Cottage Ave., Millersville.

"The book sale was started years ago and has always been a fun event for the community," said interim booster club president Curtis Wagner. "It is something of a treasure hunt. We've come across rare finds, author-signed books, and even usable college textbooks."

This year's sale will feature new and used books such as novels, self-help books, history books, children's books, and more. Baked goods and drinks will also be available for purchase.

Proceeds will support the marching band and indoor drumline through funding music, instruments, and props. The Penn Manor Band Boosters is the primary funding source of the marching unit.

New and used books that are clean may be donated through Tuesday, May 3, at Penn Manor High School during business hours, as well as from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays in the band room.
