Baseball players named All-Americans

The Shenandoah University baseball program earned two All-American honors as announced by D3baseball.com. Senior Gavin Horning was named second team All-America, while junior Colby Martin was selected to the fifth team.

Horning, a Lancaster native, batted .409 on the year with seven home runs and drove in 60 RBIs. His batting average and RBIs are currently third and first in the ODAC, respectively.

Martin, a business administration major from Lititz, hit .390 with 50 RBIs and 41 walks. On the bases, Martin had an ODAC-high 34 steals on 37 attempts.

The two Hornets were named All-Region by D3Baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association, with Horning grabbing the Region 6 Player of the Year by the ABCA.

The All-Americans also snatched All-ODAC honors earlier this season, with Horning making first team and Martin earning second team.

The duo helped Shenandoah to a Super Regionals appearance this season and a program-record 42 wins.
