Berks Jazz Fest concerts slated

As part of Boscov's Berks Jazz Fest, the WCR Center for the Arts, 140 N. Fifth St., Reading, will host two concerts celebrating gifted jazz musicians who hail from Berks County. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to show time.

Grammy Award-winning guitarist David Cullen will release his first solo guitar recording in 15 years with "REVIVAL" during a concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 26. CD's will be available for purchase at the performance.

The Hot Club of Reading will take the stage on Saturday, April 1, at 7 p.m. featuring guitarists Josh Taylor and Michael Nikolidakis; bassist Trey LaRue; Chris Heslop on sax, clarinet, and washboard; and jack-of-all-trades Ken Gehret. The band will be joined by special guest Andy Roberts, who will play the WCR's vintage Steinway grand piano.
