Bird watching program, hike planned

Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, has scheduled two upcoming programs.

Intro to Bird Watching will be held on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. Attendees will learn how to look for and identify common birds. Guides will be provided, and binoculars will be available for up to 10 people to use. Attendees may bring their own binoculars.

A Golden Eagle Hikers outing will take place on Sunday, Nov. 26, at 1:30 p.m. This event is a shorter and slower-paced hike for people over age 50. Attendees should dress warmly and bring water.

Both activities are free and open to the public, but preregistration is required by contacting 717-964-3808 or governordick@hotmail.com and providing a name and phone number in case the program is canceled.
