Birding field trips set

The Lancaster County Bird Club (LCBC) will offer four field trips in March. The outings are free and open to the public. Preregistration is required by 6 p.m. on the day before the trip.

On Saturday, March 11, at 5 p.m., John Lahr will lead a program at Middle Creek focused on the American woodcock and waterfowl. The main objective is to hear and view the courtship display of the American woodcock. For additional details, contact Lahr at 717-284-3497 or Johnlahr@gmail.com.

Derek Stoner will lead a trip along the Susquehanna River starting at Wrightsville on Saturday, March 18, at 1 p.m. Attendees will look for little and black-headed gulls and other river birds. Contact Stoner at 484-723-3348 or derekstoner@hotmail.com for more information.
