Blue Star Mothers of America Inc., Red Rose Blue Star Moms PA 202 will host its inaugural Battle of the Branches 5K/Trail Run on Saturday, June 10, at Lancaster County Park at Pavilion 2, 1050 Rockford Road, Lancaster. The race will be timed, and winners in various age and gender categories will be announced.

The event will offer a 5K and trail run on the park's trails, a fun run, and a virtual option. The 5K and trail run will begin at 9 a.m. This is a family-friendly event.

Blue Star Mothers of America members are mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster mothers, and female legal guardians who have children serving in the military, guard, or reserves or who have children who are veterans. Blue Star Mothers of America was founded in 1942 in Flint, Mich., and in June of 1960, the organization was chartered by Congress. The organization provides support for active-duty service personnel, their families, and veterans' organizations, and it is available to assist in homeland volunteer efforts.
