The community is invited to attend Brickerville United Lutheran Church's "Ole Fashioned Picnic in the Park" on Saturday, July 1, from 3:30 to 8 p.m. The picnic will take place at the church's shaded grove at 340 E. 28th Division Highway, Lititz (Brickerville).

The event will honor all veterans and active military members. The Ringgold Band of Reading will once again provide entertainment in addition to a strolling balloon twisting artist. Other children's activities will also be offered.

Food will be available for purchase, including homemade chicken corn soup, hamburgers, hot dogs, beef barbecue, fresh fruit salad and dinner salads, homemade desserts and ice cream.

The picnic will be held rain or shine. Donations will be accepted at the gate to help offset entertainment costs but are not required. Guests should bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating to enjoy the outdoor performance under the shade trees.
