Cantwell Named ITA Scholar-Athlete

Rory Cantwell of Lancaster was one of 11 tennis players at Bridgewater College, Bridgewater, Va., who were named as Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athletes. Cantwell, a member of the Class of 2025, is a liberal studies major at Bridgewater.

Seven women's tennis players and four men's tennis players from Bridgewater were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes. To receive this title, student-athletes must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the current academic year.

In addition, the women's program was honored as an ITA All-Academic Team. This distinction is awarded to programs that have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above on a 4.0 scale.
