Capital Blue Cross wins award

Capital Blue Cross has stretched its streak of "Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania" honors to six straight years, finishing 15th among large companies. It is Capital's highest ranking ever on the list.

Capital Blue Cross evolved its workplace in response to the pandemic, adapting to keep its employees safer, taking advantage of improved technologies and increasing efficiencies. While many Capital employees will continue to work remotely or have a hybrid arrangement, Capital is moving forward with plans to more consistently connect its staff in-person, expanding upon the new collaboration tools, monthly connection days and team-building activities it has featured the past two years.

Capital was among just 46 large companies to make the cut when The Best Places to Work in PA rankings were announced. This year's list honors 153 employers in all, divided into small (15 to 99 employees), medium (100 to 249) and large (250-plus) categories.

Best Places to Work in PA is a project of the Central Penn Business Journal and Lehigh Valley Business, and the awards are held in partnership with Best Companies Group.
