CATRA seeks volunteers

Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association Inc. (CATRA) is seeking adult and youth volunteers to help with its summer therapeutic horseback riding sessions, animal care and other tasks. Volunteers with horse experience are appreciated, but experience is not required to assist with lessons. Volunteers also are needed to help with grounds and garden care, to plan events and fundraisers, and to assist with administrative work.

CATRA has scheduled a volunteer training session on Thursday, July 11, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the CATRA farm, 168 Station Road, Grantville.

CATRA welcomes volunteers of all ages. Those under age 13 must be supervised by a parent or guardian. All volunteers under age 18 must have a parent or guardian's permission to volunteer.

Volunteers should wear clothes appropriate for farm work and must wear closed-toe shoes or boots.
