CEDC Announces Grant Opportunity

Keith Lutz, president of the Columbia Economic Development Corporation (CEDC), recently announced that the CEDC will provide grants to two Columbia businesses to assist them in creating a website and/or for advertising purposes.

Two $750 grants will be issued on an annual basis. New businesses, as well as established businesses operating in the Borough of Columbia, can apply. Applicants will then be reviewed by a committee of CEDC board members.

To be eligible, the applicant must provide the several pieces of information. Required information includes the business's mission statement, the purpose for the grant, and the year the business was organized. In addition, the applicant must submit the business license, the EIN or Social Security number (for individuals operating in a "doing business as" status), the most recent two-year Federal Income Tax Return for the business, and an estimate from the vendor providing the service.
