The American Helicopter Museum and Education Center (AHMEC), 1220 American Blvd., West Chester, has planned holiday activities and encourages visitors to take part in the Toys for Tots Drive.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at AHMEC on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. for its annual SantaFest that will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The pair will join PAWS for People Therapy Dogs to greet children and hear their holiday wish lists. Activities and music will also be featured.

Additionally, the museum's Thomas the Tank Engine and L-shaped O-gauge layouts run by its volunteers will be on display through New Year's.

AHMEC is participating in the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Drive for the third consecutive year. The museum offers discounts on admission, as well as museum gift shop toy purchases to help the worthy cause. Visitors who bring or purchase a toy costing $15 or more will get one free adult admission (one per group). Shoppers can earn discounts on any purchase for Toys for Tots until Sunday, Dec. 10. Discounts are only for items purchased and given to Toys for Tots by buying an item and placing it in the collection box.
