A Wreaths Across America ceremony will take place at noon on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Mount Bethel Cemetery, 700 Locust St., Columbia. The event will honor the more than 600 veterans interred at Mount Bethel, including approximately 400 from the Civil War and others representing conflicts from the Revolutionary War to the Vietnam War. The event is open to the public, and attendees may assist in placing wreaths at the veterans' graves.

Kevin Kraft will be the master of ceremonies. Representatives from all branches of the military will lay a wreath in honor of those who have served. Jerry Brenheiser will play taps, and a gun salute will close the ceremony.
