Mount Joy Chamber of Commerce, 62 E. Main St., Suite 1, Mount Joy, will award three scholarships to Mount Joy students, students of Chamber members, or members who are continuing their education. Residency outside Mount Joy is permitted for students of Chamber members or students who are Chamber members.

Two of the scholarships are for $1,000. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school student, and the second will be awarded to a continuing education student. A $500 scholarship will be awarded based mainly on the student's volunteer time in the community; this scholarship is given in honor of Dorothy Metzler and her support to nonprofits in the Mount Joy community.

The Mount Joy Chamber of Commerce awards a total of $4,500 in scholarships to local students annually. Along with the aforementioned awards, the Chamber awards two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors at Donegal High School at an annual awards banquet and two $500 scholarships to students at the Janus School. The 2021 winners of the continuing education scholarships were Haley Schaub and Silas Buckwalter, and Kamryn Mummau received the Dorothy Metzler Memorial Scholarship.
