Chamber to Offer Scholarships

Each year, the Mount Joy Area Chamber of Commerce (MJCOC) awards scholarships to support local students in their educational pursuits. An application is now open for a MJCOC scholarship available to Donegal School District students, students of MJCOC members or MJCOC members furthering their education. MJCOC members and their students may reside outside Mount Joy.

The MJCOC Scholarship has increased from $1,000 to $1,500 this year. It will be awarded to a graduating high school senior to encourage and support future workforce leaders in the community.

The application for the scholarship can be found at http://www.mountjoychamber.com or in the guidance office at Donegal High School, 1025 Koser Road, Mount Joy. The completed application and supplemental materials must be submitted to the MJCOC by Friday, April 10.

In addition to this scholarship, the MJCOC awards a $1,500 Business Education Scholarship to the senior at Donegal High School who ranks first scholastically in the business education course and plans to continue his or her education. This scholarship has also been increased from $1,000 to $1,500 this year.

The MJCOC also provides two $500 scholarships to students at The Janus School.

These scholarships reflect MJCOC's ongoing commitment to investing in the future of the community.
