Chorale Plans Free Concert

The Lancaster Chorale will perform a concert on Sunday, Nov. 20, featuring Vivaldi's "Gloria" and other sacred works. The concert will begin at 6 p.m. at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster.

Under the direction of Bruce Gerlach, the chorale will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra. Soloists will include soprano Abigail Martin, soprano Alison Mckeel, contralto Shirah Layton-Reichard, and tenor Brenten McGee.

The concert is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be received.

A volunteer ensemble of more than 60 voices, the Lancaster Chorale welcomes all singers who desire to perform masterworks and high-quality sacred music. A good to excellent singing voice, a love of singing, and a commitment to the ensemble and its schedule are the requirements. The ability to read music is not required but is desirable.
