Christmas bazaar planned

St. Anthony of Padua Church will hold its Christmas bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 10, after the 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Masses. The bazaar will take place in the cafeteria at Resurrection Catholic School, 521 E. Orange St., Lancaster.

The jewelry table will sell sets of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings along with purses and scarves. Additional tables will include wreath and garden, trim-a-tree, crafts, religious items, gift shop, and baked goods; the Gingerbread World bazaar will feature gingerbread-themed items at the various tables and tucked inside one of the gift baskets. Crosses made of wood from lower church pews will be available at the bazaar, as well.

On Nov. 9, a scavenger hunt will keep children busy until Santa visits at 11 a.m. At noon, parish council president Al Ricci will auction a cake made by Father Matthew Morelli, St. Anthony pastor.

Tickets for giveaway drawings may be purchased at the bazaar, with the drawing taking place at 1 p.m. on Nov. 10.

Attendees may personalize special ornaments for a Memory Tree to remember veterans. The tree will be placed in church through the end of November.

Food available at the bazaar will include egg rolls, soup, and sandwiches.
